infectious salmon anaemia
a viral disease of salmonids such as Atlantic salmon, sea-run brown trout and rainbow trout. The anaemia leaves fish open to other diseases and the kidneys may haemorrhage and the spleen swell. The disease is transmitted from fish to fish and from sea lice to fish. Abbreviated as ISA
